Colour and Clay Studio is located in Harrow and Wealdstone at the Winsor & Newton Building on Whitefriars Ave (postcode HA3 5RN).
Our Special Educational Needs Classes for Adults is a bundle of four weeks pottery sessions for individuals with special needs/physical disabilities. Classes are geared and designed to improve the health and physical & mental well-being of the students through pottery and fine arts.
Class description
- Our sessions for individuals with special needs are designed to accommodate any level of ability.
- Over the duration of the 4 sessions individuals will explore two pottery techniques and they will learn various surface decorations, including colour application. By the end of the 4th week they should own two pieces of ceramics creation.
- All materials, paints, glaze and firing are included.
- The class has a lunch break between 12:30 - 13:15 which is followed by social activities that are designed to enhance the participants social and academic skills.
- Participants must bring their own packed lunch as the studio has a fitted kitchen, with fridge and microwave, we also provide a hot drink and biscuits during the break.
Terms and Conditions:
*You must notify us as soon as possible if you've been diagnosed or have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with Covid 19.
*We clean and disinfect surfaces, door handles and utensils frequently and make sure our studio is Covid19 Safe.
Cancelations and refund
*Cancel no later than seven calendar days before your booked course for a full refund. Late cancellations are subject to full fee payable.
*To reschedule, contact us no later than 7 calendar days before the start of the course.
*Failing to attend your booked course/class will be subject to full fees charged.
*Kindly note, bookings made within 3 days of the start of your course cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

Our Advice
*Please note: long finger nails would stop you from enjoying your time as pottery involves working with the finger tips.
*You may want to wear clothes you don't mind getting messy, however, touch free plastic, single use aprons will be provided and clay comes out of clothes.
*Collect your works no later than 14 days after you have been notified that your pieces have been fired, otherwise we will sadly have to dispose of them.
